
The Scholarships for Hispanics focus of this unit in the transdisciplinary use of mathematics and physics to model biological phenomena related cancer, to understand better the biological experiments and clinical trials.
Work location is Milan (Italy).
The Scholarships for Hispanics successful candidate will have to work on development, the spatio-temporal scale doubles, mathematics and computing realistic models for:
- Tumoral angiogenesis and anti-angiogenesis anti-tumour therapies;
- Tumour-Immune system interaction and immuno-therapies;
- Intracellular signal pathways of particular relevance for tumour development, growth and anti-tumour therapies.
The Scholarships for Hispanics interplay with biomedical researchers, involved both in clinical and in experimental research, will be an integral part of the post-doctoral work.
Requirements
- PhD in Physics or Theoretical Biology or Applied Mathematics;
- A good knowledge of biology;
- A solid background in both theoretical and computational aspects of mathematical biology.
Scholarships for Hispanics Although we are definitely not searching for a programmer, the candidate must have a good knowledge of computer programming, and of both matlab or mathematica software tools. We are looking for a highly motivated scientist who shares our passion for cutting edge research in theoretical biology of cancer.
